New set-up
Richard showed me how to connect Phoebe to my 17″ monitor at home. So I tried it, and it worked. That’s what I’m gonna be using from now on.
I love Phoebe’s keyboard but the 12″ display is really hard on my poor multi-focal eyes. Should I have bought the 15″ instead? Nope. 12″ is still the ideal portable screen size for me, altho not for long periods of use.
So, things were a bit messy at my work corner last night. It’ll continue to be messy until I clean it up. I mean, it was already messy. Now, add in Phoebe with her various “lifelines” (power adapter, mouse, broadband cable and monitor) … get the picture? No? I’ll try and take one this evening to post here.
But the important thing is – big and brilliant 17-inch display for Phoebe!
I also asked Richard about an elevated stand for Phoebe to reduce her “heatiness”. He not only told me what to get, he showed it to me, via one-way video chat. Way cool …
Richard has been like my Mac mentor since I got Phoebe, absolutely unstinting in sharing information. I was feeling a little stuck after getting Phoebe but yesterday evening, he started pushing me in the right direction and helping me bond even further with her.
All this from halfway around the world and a 12-hour time difference, too.
