Back to normal
The house, that is.
My brother returned to Singapore this morning; he was home for the long holiday weekend, altho it wasn’t so long for them, they only got Monday off, and he goes back to work tomorrow. But they did get a day off last Thursday for Deepavali, and he took Friday so it was a long weekend break for him.
I still have a day off tomorrow and don’t go back to work till Wednesday. I also took a day off last Friday; well, everyone where I work took a day off last Friday on company orders.
Father hasn’t been well so he hasn’t been to see mother since Friday evening. My brother and I went in his place, and now that he’s back in Singapore, I did it on my own today, and enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing mother again tomorrow.
I promised myself lots of writing today and tomorrow, but so far, I haven’t added to my NaNovel word count since early this morning. I’m still a little ahead of the count, but at the rate I’m going, I’m going to fall behind soon.
It’s the midway point and I’m 711 words ahead of the 25,000 words supposed to have been written by now. At this point, I’ve decided to make a switch and try out the AlphaSmart Neo. As a moderator at the AlphaSmart Community Center, I was given a Neo so I would be familiar with it and be able to answer any questions about it. Well, I’ve been neglecting my mod duties, but plan to catch up soon. In any case, the Neo should be easy to get familiar with. After all, it is an AlphaSmart product, which I’ve been using since 1998.
