Flight Plan for 11 November 2004
This is two days late. But I wanted to post a link to this page from the singer-songwriter Rod McKuen’s web site:
Rod wrote one of my all-time favourite songs, “Jean” , that was featured in the movie The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, starring one of the best actresses of all time, Maggie Smith, who also won the 1969 Best Actress Oscar for her role in this movie. The song was nominated for Best Song the same year, but lost to “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head” from the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Anyway, I digress …
Rod’s daily flight plans always feature notable birthdays for that particular day. In the case of 11 November, celebrities include actors Demi Moore (yay) and Leonardo DiCaprio (eww … ), and – note this - authors Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Howard Fast, and, a particular favourite, Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.
