Wish List – 1
I’m listing this under the “Humour” category cuz I don’t really think I’ll have any of these wishes granted.
Well, it’s the season for giving, and I like to give things to myself (since nobody, except family, gives them to me – don’t worry, not looking for sympathy here).
So I’ve been thinking for a while what’ll go on my wish list. Tonight (this morning?), I was reminded of this wish list when I thought about how I’d like to have a mini fridge right at my feet where I am right now so I don’t have to go downstairs to get chocs from the fridge.
Yup, a mini fridge is on my wish list, but not just any mini fridge, but this mini fridge:

How did I come to know about such a fridge?
Well, I was actually googling for portable food warmers. Cuz I often bring lunch to work – rice in one microwaveable container and dish of the day in another. But because there’s no microwave in the office, I warm them in the morning and put them in a thermos to bring to work. By lunch time, both containers of food are still warm enough.
One day, I got to thinking it’d be nice to have a warmer at work so it’ll be one less thing to do at home in the morning before going to work. Besides, immediately warmed food is warmer that food warmed a few hours earlier.
But … but … this is a fridge, not a food warmer.
Ah, that’s the beauty of this cute gadget – it’s not only a mini fridge, it’s also a food warmer! Yup, with the flick of a switch, it’s instantly transformed into a food warmer.
Cool, cool gadget. For only £59.95. Actually, it’s not beyond my means to get this except I don’t think I can get it here in Malaysia, and to bring it in from England would entail a lot of red tape, even if I were to fly there and bring it back myself. And I would not dream of asking anyone to bring it in for me cuz of the possible hassles involved.
But I digress …
When I first found this gadget, it was listed at this BoysStuff site, which I didn’t think strange at all. In its fridge mode, this does look more like a boys’ gadget than anything else. But then, when I googled for it just now, I found that it’s now also listed at this GirlsStuff site.
Yeah, sure, same people responsible for the BoysStuff site is now offering GirlsStuff, too. But it is recognition, of sorts, that girls like, and can afford, gadgets and stuff, too.
Next – another item on my wish list.
