It’s a wonder, indeed
I can now understand the joy new parents feel when they hear their babies say their first word.
Yesterday, I heard my mother call my sister by name. My sister was standing at the back door of GT Heritage, her back to both mother and I. Mother looked at her back and started calling her name. She was calling out quite softly so I told her to call louder, which she did. A few times, she did that, but it was still not loud enough for my sister to hear. Eventually, my sister turned around, I told my mother to call her name again, but mother took one look at my sister’s face, and forgot her name.
A while later, she called my name, too, again when I had my back to her.
During dinner, I was in another part of the dining area, but mother saw me, literally out of the corner of her eye, and started to call my name. Not once, but at least three times, cuz she wanted me next to her.
BTW, she was feeding herself during dinner yesterday evening.
Such wonderul progress I’m seeing in my mother.
