It’s the driver, not the car
When I was driving my Sunny Extra, it would occasionally sound like it had a puppy living in it cuz it would make some puppy-like noises (not woof-woof, but more eek-squeak).
Of course, when I took it in for a check-up, the puppy would be asleep so the mechanic would not hear a thing and could not look for it under the hood or wherever. Well, except for that one time, the puppy was just waking up, and Mr Mechanic heard the faintest of an eek. He said to bring the car back another day so he could check it more thoroughly. I never did, and now there’s no need. (Let the new owner deal with it!)
But there really was a squeak in the Sunny Extra. My niece heard it one time when she was in the car with me. It must’ ve left quite an impression on her cuz she used to ask if I’d send the car in to see what was the matter.
Recently, after I started driving the Corolla, my niece commented that at least now, there’s no squeaking sound in the car. I looked at her and said, “Actually, I think the puppy followed me from the Sunny Extra to the Corolla.”
Yes, the Corolla squeaks, too. In fact, I knew about it cuz my father mentioned it one day after it eeked a little. But it was never as loud as the Sunny Extra.
I guess it’s true what my niece said after that – it’s the driver, not the car.
