Reruns

I was at my sister’s place and asking her to change channel to 51 (Animal Planet) when I saw a documentary Fate of the Panda was about to come on. So I went on home so I could watch it in the comfort of familiar surroundings.

It’s one I’ve seen before, but I never tire of watching anything about pandas. This one’s actually about both the giant panda and the red panda. They look worlds apart but are actually related. Well, they’re also both on the list of endangered animals.

After the documentary, I was flipping channels when I came across a Lara Croft movie. It was just beginning, and I didn’t recognise the opening scene, but since there are only two Lara Croft movies, and I am familiar with the other one, I figured this must be the other other one.

Actually, I’ve seen the movie before (Lara Croft and the Cradle of Life), but somehow never the opening scene, only the rest of the movie.

Of course, I continued watching the movie, cuz it was Angelina Jolie in the starring role. And not just as a pretty face, but a strong female lead character. The pretty face is the icing on the cake.

So, that was my evening of back-to-back reruns. Both of which I enjoyed tremendously.

See how they sleep

“Lord, Reign in me”

Over all the earth,
You reign on high,
Every mountain stream,
Every sunset sky,
But my one request,
Lord, my only aim,
Is that You’d reign in me again

Chorus:
Lord, reign in me,
Reign in Your power,
Over all my dreams,
In my darkest hour,
You are the Lord,
Of all I am,
So won’t You reign in me again

Over every thought,
Over every word,
May my life reflect,
The beauty of my Lord,
Cause You mean more to me,
than any earthly thing,
So won’t You reign in me again

Not feeding the wolf

It’s a dangerous time of the month for me. If I’m not careful, I might succumb to the wolf of self-pity. I must beware, and not feed it.

A Nano dream

In it, I was at a typewriter (yes, typewriter), bashing out words that came up to about 500.

A short while later, I found myself walking up to Sharon Bakar who was doing likewise.

About 6 weeks to NaNoWriMo, maybe that’s why.
