Story: “Brokeback Mountain”
I found an electronic version and started to read it late last night. Couldn’t put it down and finished it in one sitting. I had no idea what the story was about, except that it is by Annie Proulx, was made into a movie by Ang Lee, won some award and is about gay cowboys. So I was TOTALLY unprepared for the latter part of the story leading up to the end. Enough to say that it made me cry.
This morning, I googled for “Brokeback Mountain” and found the official web site. Went a step further, googled for Annie Proulx and found that she has an official web site, too. So I checked it out, and found it includes a discussion forum, which is currently more about “Brokeback Mountain” than any of her other books.
