I was good

I only bought one book during the two weeks in England, but it’s a good book, and it’s not fiction.

Interrupted Lives examines the work of some of our greatest writers whose literary careers were tragically cut short. Six contemporary authors explore what might have happened had these writers lived:

Christopher Marlowe by Charles Nicholl
Percy Bysshe Shelley by Richard Holmes
Katherine Mansfield by Patricia Duncker
Angela Carter by Ali Smith
Sylvia Plath by Erica Wagner
Edward Thomas by Andrew Motion

Recognise any of the writers in the above list?

But while I bought only one book, I did spend quite a bit on DVDs and one particular CD - All Things Must Pass, George Harrison’s very first solo album first released in 1970 (and also the very first album I bought with my “own” - well, ang pow - money).
